Welcome to Ennovus Solutions
Ennovus Solutions works with businesses across the UK on turnkey wind development projects. For businesses looking to invest in renewable generation small or medium wind turbines form a very attractive solution. These turbines are perfect for businesses looking to power their facility by harnessing the power of wind.
Wind turbines generate clean electricity with a profile more closely matched to a business’s demands. Opting for a wind turbine is one of the best steps for grid resilience.
We adopt a structured four stage process to wind development projects. This ensures that a project is technically and commercially viable before proceeding. Click on the tabs to explore the key elements of each stage.
There are many elements to consider in a wind turbine development project. This can include anything from proximity to public highways to buried services. To understand the project’s viability, it is important that as many of these criteria are considered from an early stage. As such we recommend starting with a free desktop assessment and scoping call with one of our project engineers.
It is recommended any wind turbine project should go through the process of pre-application planning advice with the local planning authority.
The objective of stage three is to translate the technical solution into a robust specification and ready to build asset. This includes gaining the necessary grid and planning permissions, which are typically the biggest hurdles in any wind development project.

The final stage is to implement the wind turbine. This will include a process of finalised detailed engineering paired with procurement and site site up, before the installation begins. The installation will be managed via our in-house project management team and adhere to the CDM 2015 regulations.
Ennovus Solutions will operate as Principal Designer and Principal Contractor for the duration of the project.
Once the wind turbine is installed, your business will start benefiting from the generation of clean green energy, lower energy bills, and a big step towards your net zero targets.

For small scale wind turbines there is MCS guidance. However, for large turbines it is more complex. Using our bespoke in-house wind generation analysis tool, combined with location based wind data we can provide accurate wind generation assessments. The location based data can either be MET office data or data collected at the exact location via LiDAR or other measuring techniques.
In 2024 the government lifted the de facto ban on onshore wind, with the aim of doubling onshore wind by 2030. The vast majority of wind turbines will require full planning permission. The good news is that Ennovus Solutions can submit pre-planning and full planning applications. It is only single very small scale wind turbines that can pass through planning as permitted development.
The space requirements naturally increase with the size of the turbine. It is important that the development footprint not only considers the space occupied by the turbine but also the construction area required. For example, a 100 kW turbine would require circa 30m x 30m development footprint.
